“Birdies for Junior” Campaign Comes to Successful Conclusion

March 1, 2010

This past week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open marked the end of the 2010 West Coast Swing and, thus, the conclusion of the “Birdies for Juniors” campaign spearheaded by Parker McLachlin and his longtime sponsor Waikoloa Beach Resort.

McLachlin, who finished in a tie for 53rd at the event, recorded 11 birdies over the course of the week, increasing the total number of birdies for the campaign to 45. As a result, McLachlin and Waikoloa Beach Resort will collectively donate $4,500 to the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association.

Fans and organizations are still encouraged to join McLachlin and Waikoloa Beach Resort in supporting the HSJGA and may visit http://www.hsjga.org/ to pledge donations.

McLachlin will take a few weeks off before returning to action at the Transitions Championship, March 18-21, in Palm Harbor, FL.
